about me
The performing arts have been a central part of my life for as long as I can remember. I first stepped on stage at age five and, by ten, landed my first major film role as Pepper in Disney’s Annie. I went on to study vocal music and musical theatre at Westminster Choir College in Princeton, NJ, and Wagner College in New York. For much of my adult life, I’ve worked in the music industry as a professional pop recording artist and singer/songwriter. My original music is available today on all major streaming platforms.
While I love performing and creating, I feel most at home when I’m teaching. For over ten years, I’ve been working with artists of all ages as a private voice teacher. I’m a proud member of the National Association of Teachers of Singing (NATS), certified in Vocal Health First Aid, and a certified Voice Habilitation Professional.
As a voice habilitation professional, I understand how essential our voices are- not only as tools, but as reflections of who we are. With deep knowledge of vocal function and care, I support singers, speakers, and professional voice users in developing healthier, more sustainable vocal habits. I strive to meet every client where they are, with a tailored approach that celebrates their unique voice.
What sets me apart?
Starting my career at such a young age taught me first-hand the pressures artists face, along with the challenge of learning to truly love your own voice. I’ve personally struggled with performance anxiety, so I know how difficult it can be to silence that inner critic. That’s why my teaching philosophy is simple: my students should always leave a lesson feeling better than when they arrived. My goal is to empower you, not break you down.
With professional experience in diverse musical genres, on stage and in recording studios; I offer insights into many aspects of vocal performance. I encourage students to explore different styles of music and connect with songs they genuinely enjoy. Whether you’re a beginner learning to sing, preparing for a college audition, strengthening your speaking voice, or a professional voice user, I’ll help you find the tools to reach your goals.
Teaching Philosophy
I strive to create a safe and inclusive space where artists can grow and thrive, while discovering their own authentic sound. I believe that an embodied voice is a happy one. By listening to our bodies and connecting with our voices, we not only strengthen our instrument, we also deepen our understanding of ourselves.
